Our mission is to help these organizations achieve their goals: to provide essential services that enhance the local community's well-being. McGee KC Consulting helps these organizations secure and retain funding from various funders. Writing winning grant proposals, managing the grant application, and the post-award process take a burden off the non-profit and allow them to focus on their important community work.
The founder, Dr. Eve McGee, is a seasoned social worker with practice expertise who has also held leadership positions in non-profit organizations. McGee KC Consulting deeply understands the community and believes every non-profit organization deserves the opportunity to achieve its mission.

Grant
Writing
McGee KC Consulting offers comprehensive grant-writing assistance to small social service nonprofits. We can help with every step of the grant writing process, from brainstorming ideas to drafting and submitting proposals. We assess the organization's grant readiness, research, and identify various grant-making organizations that align with the organization's mission and goals.
We offer a wide array of support services, such as writing letters of support, reviewing and editing grant proposals, and developing a clear, concise, and persuasive winning grant proposal highlighting your organization's funding need and how it will use the funds to achieve its goals.
We strongly encourage organizations to contact us early in the initial planning stages.
Program Assessment
We examine current programs and services to identify strengths, gaps, and areas of improvement to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, we work with organizations to ensure programs and services align with the organization's mission, strategic plan, and goals. Lastly, we offer data-driven recommendations regarding a course of action to address gaps and areas of improvement.

About the Founder
Eve McGee, Ph.D., MSW, is an innovative and experienced social worker with 30 years of direct social work practice experience in various settings, including community-based organizations, nonprofits, and higher education. She has held multiple leadership positions and has an extensive background in administration, program development and evaluation, program management, and grants management. Her specialty is program design, implementation, and program evaluation.
Dr. McGee is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Education, Social Work, and Psychological Studies. Previously, she served as Allied Health and Simulation Director at Penn Valley Community College. In this role, Dr. McGee supervised all faculty and staff within the Allied Health and Virtual Hospital departments, monitored and maintained the Allied Health programs and Virtual Hospital budget, assisted program coordinators with data collection and analysis for their respective programs, and managed grants in collaboration with program coordinators to support health science and workforce development initiatives.
Dr. McGee is committed to ensuring that the voices of vulnerable populations are heard and their needs met. Dr. McGee's research interests include ethnic and racial health disparities, mental health, and poverty. She holds a doctorate in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas. Dr. McGee serves on the board of directors for the Research College of Nursing and Vibrant Health personnel committee (advisory role).
